Laugh and Learn – Come to the Division Conference on October 18th

Laugh and learn, practice your public speaking skills in a fun and friendly environment. This is the focal point of all Toastmasters meetings. The most outstanding competitors from all German clubs south of the Main River and west of Ulm have regular competitions in humorous, international, improvised and evaluation speeches and this year’s Fall Conference promises to get particularly funny.
The Toastmaster Division South-East has declared a humorous autumn. The Division I Fall 2014 Conference contest will take place on a professional stage (65 sqm).

Our unique location will make it an unforgettable experience and event for everyone. We’ll have great keynote speakers, humorous and impromptu speeches in both German and English. You’ll get a chance to see the best speakers of division I live on stage. In parallel to the competitions there will be workshops in both German and English on topics like speech preparation and delivery, giving feedback and adding humor to your speeches. They are planned so that you can have a full day in either German or English, so you can all enjoy a day packed with entertainment, fun and learning in your own language.

Sigrid Hauer , winner of the GSA (German Speakers Association) Presidents Award in 2012, who is specialized in storytelling and co-author of a book on humor. She will provide some humor on “Warum ist das so chaotisch oder die Macht der Vielfalt”.

Tuire Vuolasvirta, our current Ltd. Governor of Education of District 95 and DTM. All the way from Helsinki, Finland to Munich just to be with us. Tuire is not only tremendously experienced through her of long standing Toastmasters membership, including various leadership roles and innumerable speeches,she also deals with diverse teams in her job as a successful freelance project manager which requires more than a good sense of humor to survive and thrive. We are looking forward to a many humorous anecdotes and inspiringstories from her daily life in an environment of cultural and operational diversity.
